Embrace Your Life Counseling - About Me
Embrace Your Life - "I help you embrace your life through change."
About Me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, National Certified Counselor, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Certified Grief Recovery Specialist specializing in individual, couples, group, and  family counseling. I am also a professor at Lone Star College, North Harris.

I gained my experience from a variety of places. At the psychiatric hospital and outpatient programs, I worked with couples, families, individuals, and groups in crisis and helped them transition to a place where they could cope and manage their difficulties with the support of others. I gained competence with drug and alcohol abuse, mood disorders, anxiety management, and self-harm. At the women’s center, I worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups who were victims of sexual assault/abuse and domestic violence (physical, emotional, mental abuse).

My therapeutic approach is eclectic, meaning that I use a variety of techniques from various counseling theories in order to meet each individual client's needs. I will at times offer additional work outside the therapy session. I believe that therapy shouldn't end at the office and should be continued to be worked on outside of therapy sessions.  I integrate various types of therapy and use creative interventions that foster growth and help make therapy fun. Ask me about the Grief Recovery Method and the programs that I offer that can also help to transform your life!
