Therapy
Counseling and therapy sessions usually last 45-50 minutes long. During your initial session, we will meet to discuss your concerns, symptoms, background, reasons for seeking therapy, and formulate goals and a treatment plan. Be sure to bring your forms/paperwork to the session.

For teens, your first session will include meeting with the family together to discuss your background and history, and symptoms and concerns you are having. Next we will meet one-on-one with the therapist and discuss further your concerns and formulate goals and a treatment plan. Finally, we will return and meet together as a family and discuss any further concerns, methods and length of treatment.

For couples and marriage counseling, we will meet together first as a couple and discuss your concerns about the relationship, methods of treatment, and formulate goals. Typically the next couple of sessions are met with both individuals to further discuss concerns one-on-one and discuss family history/background. Finally, we will return together as a couple and continue the counseling process.

I also am now offering Telephonic and Video sessions as well. You may request these types of sessions after meeting in person over the first session.



Groups
Interested in group counseling? Groups can provide additional support with connecting with other individuals that share similar stories. I am currently looking for individuals for the following groups:

Grief & Loss Process Group
Coming Soon! 6:30pm-8pm (Adults)

This group offers 8-sessions to help you work through grief and all types of loss. You will be able to share your story in a safe environment, work through the emotions, learn how to properly and effectively manage self-care, identify a healthy support network, cope with holidays and special events, and how to move forward and look to the future.

All group members are screened for this closed group.  Group fees per meeting are $40. Group members are encouraged to attend all sessions to get the most out of the group.


Embracing Self-Worth Group

Wednesday's from 6:30-8pm (Adults)
Teen Group coming soon!

This group offers 8-sessions to help build your confidence, work through self-esteem, vulnerability, shame, perfectionism, self-defeating talk, and implement self-compassion into your life!

All group members are screened for this closed group. Group fees per meeting are $40. Group members are encouraged to attend all sessions to get the most out of the group.

Educational Programs
In addition to counseling, I provide The Grief Recovery Method® in individual and group settings as a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist (CGRS).  In this education program, you will work through grief and loss according to what you are going through or have been though.

Individual 7 week program
Group 8 week program

PURPOSE: The goal of The Grief Recovery Method® is to help you complete your relationship to the pain, isolation, and loneliness caused by significant emotional loss. While death and divorce may seem to be the most obvious losses, our groups are not limited to those losses. There are more than 40 life events that can produce feelings of grief.

GUIDELINES: We have a few guidelines to preserve our group’s safety and harmony. It is essential that there be no judgment or evaluation of each other. We should be careful not to compare our pain and losses with each other’s. All relationships are unique, therefore each person’s grief is unique. It’s also important to know that grievers are not broken, therefore they don’t need to be fixed. They don’t need to be analyzed, criticized, or judged. They need to be listened to with dignity and respect.

HOMEWORK DIRECTIONS: The key to your success in this grief support group hinges on your willingness to apply yourself to the weekly homework assignments designed to help you move beyond loss. Homework is based on The Grief Recovery Handbook, so everyone should have a copy. We can guide you in the actions of The Grief Recovery Method®, but we can’t do them for you. Your participation is the key to your recovery.
