Holly Wilson, MS, LPC
Hi my name is Holly ….
My role as a therapist is to help others as they embark on a journey towards greater authenticity, peace, and wholeness.
Healing is facilitated when a person feels seen, heard, and accepted. I believe that through building a strong and empathic connection I can help others to find a greater sense of empowerment as they face life’s challenges.
I have experience working with individuals of all ages. I have worked extensively with children, teens, and families, and believe that healing the family unit as a whole facilitates longer lasting change than addressing a singular behavioral concern.
In my clinical work I address a variety of concerns including attachment issues, trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, body image, parent child interactions, and marital issues. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing); this has been widely researched and proven effective when used with a variety of issues including the treatment of trauma. I also utilize play and sand tray in my therapeutic work. Play is the language of a child and by “playing”, children of all ages are freer to express emotions and build trust with a “helper”.
It is my hope that through providing a safe and accepting environment you and your family will find the tools needed to achieve the close and meaningful connections we all hope for.
