As a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern, I am passionate and eager to work with you to help you reach your full potential. I take an honest, realistic, and relatable approach with adolescents and adults to help them begin to see the value of their internal thoughts and life choices. Through counseling, I help people learn to identify their negative thinking patterns that often lead to self-destructive behaviors and negative life choices. First we will identify your cognitive needs, then we will restructure your emotional, social and interpersonal needs to foster a more positive, supportive and healthy lifestyle. As a client who is committed to self-discovery, authenticity and the counseling process, I can help you to grow! I have five areas of specializations:

  • grief & loss
  • divorce & blended families
  • child & adult trauma
  • anxiety & depression
  • adolescent issues

I can help you and your adolescent if you suspect that they may be struggling with; ADHD, anxiety, anger management issues, conflict resolution needs, depression, impulse control, grief and loss, goal setting, self-esteem issues, self-harm, and stress management. In addition, I am also specialized and certified in the following areas:

  • Certified Clinical Trauma Professional
  • Certified Anger Resolution Therapist

My background is unique, in that I have had the opportunity to see how a child's social and emotional needs have directly correlated to behaviors in a school setting. I have obtained an array of experience from working within the school counseling setting, a behavior modification setting, an adolescent youth shelter, a drug and eating disorder treatment facility, as well as practical experience as a mother of two children. In addition to my experience, I am an eclectic counselor who uses a variety of counseling theories and techniques to assist my clients and their individual needs. Together we will review coping strategies, grounding techniques, mindfulness, and self-regulation techniques to utilize both inside and outside of the counseling office.

My goal is to elevate you and help you reach your full potential! I look forward to working with you and your adolescent! To find out further information about my services please contact me at (832) 998-6345 or visit me on my website at www.elevateyourlifecounseling.com.
