About Julia Ayraud, MA, LPC-S, CGRS, Trained in Brainspotting

Therapy for teens, adults, men, women, families and couples in person in Tomball, TX and online across Texas

Hi, I’m Julia Ayraud!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and Certified Grief Recovery Specialist who works with adults, men, and women who have experienced a life transition or loss that is hard to move forward with in life. My goal is to help you stop intense grief and start helping you get back to living life and encouraging you to see healing and transformation.

My Journey to Becoming A Therapist

I’m no different from the clients I see. Like everyone else, I’m human. I’ve been through both wonderful and difficult experiences that have shaped who I am and how I help.

I help people who are grieving some sort of a loss in their life due to a death of a loved one, a breakup or divorce, surviving cancer or dealing with a chronic or terminal illness, managing a major life transition, or going through the stressful illness of their parents or loved ones. Throughout my life, I have experienced numerous losses and struggled with the pain. I know what it’s like to experience many of these types of losses. When I lost my cousin to a drowning in Canyon Lake when he went missing for several weeks, I found myself helping my family members manage their grief by educating them on how to cope with the loss of our beloved family member. I discovered at this time that I wanted to specialize in working with clients experiencing some sort of grief and loss in their lives. I too, have found therapy to turn my life around and to move beyond the losses.

“My life experiences are what lead me to become the therapist I am today.”

Helping People Gives My Life Meaning, Purpose, And Is What I Look Forward To Every Day

Being a therapist is fulfilling and rewarding. I love helping people move forward and beyond with their losses and discovering a new sense of purpose in life. The most rewarding thing about being a therapist is giving hope when people feel hopeless and being able to take back their life.

I am committed to helping you get back to living life and encouraging you to see healing and transformation.

I have compassion and empathy for others and bring warmth, understanding and supportive guidance to sessions.

I have the natural ability to:

  • Understand people’s experiences

  • Inspire hope for healing

  • Find a new meaning or purpose in life

  • Learn to accept their current loss or life transition

People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can sit with people, even when things feel dark or hopeless and be fully present for people’s stories, even when they’re difficult ones.

Our Sessions Are Focused On You

Sessions will provide you with the space to feel what you need to feel and be yourself. In feeling safe and comfortable, you’ll be able to express your thoughts and feelings and be understood and heard.

It’s important to me to create safety within the session and provide a non-judgemental space where you can be yourself. There isn’t a “one size fits all” approach to therapy. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.

As a therapist, I embrace the following philosophies:
